Select Research Ltd collects the details provided by you on registration together with information we learn about you from the Shape GB project and your visits to our web site and other sites accessible from them.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:

- E-mail address
- Contact telephone numbers
- Type of Occupation
- Shopping Details
Select Research Ltd will also collect information about your child when you make a booking. This information will include:
- Their name
- Their gender
- Their date of birth
We will endeavour to keep the information we hold about you up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at email@example.com. If there are any inaccuracies please let us know and we will correct it promptly.
Use of your information
We will use your personal information to communicate with you. We may use your information to send you news about Select Research Ltd services which we think may be of interest to you. We may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax for these purposes.
If you do not wish to receive information regarding new survey initiatives please inform us by e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org
Your child’s information will be used to identify the child by first name at the time of their due appointment and thereafter by the reference on the scan. The child’s name will also be used to link them to the parent by virtue of the registration process.
Use of sensitive personal information
When making a booking we will collect information on your child’s ethnicity.
By taking part in this study, your child will provide us with details of their body measurements in the form of a 3D body scan. This data will remain anonymous and kept completely separate from any personal details collected. We will use the data collected on your child’s ethnicity and physical condition for the following purposes:
- Creating a databank of the body scans, measurements and market research data that will be remotely accessed by retailers, research analysts and Select Research Ltd over the internet or on internal systems.
- Analysing the databank to produce measurement data related to clothing.
- Analysing the databank to produce measurement data related to healthcare and health risk or for future retail sizing surveys
- Onward sale or transmission of anonymous data to other research institutions and commercial organisations, not necessarily for clothing or healthcare purposes.
Once the survey is complete we will collate all the scans we have collected and the information will be used when designing, specifying and manufacturing clothing.
Once you have registered to use www.shapegb.org, you will be provided with access to a "Your Account" page that will allow you to tailor your booking communications to your preferences.
To change your appointment simply click "Your Account" in the top frame and click to re-arrange your booking. From time to time, we may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax to ask your opinions for research purposes. Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service or to future stages of the Shape GB project.
Disclosures of your information
Your contact information may be passed to and used by all Select Research Ltd companies or companies directly or indirectly associated with the ShapeGB project. We will never pass your personal data to anyone else, except for any successors in title to our business and suppliers that process data on our behalf both in the UK and abroad. We may also use and disclose information in aggregate (so that no individual participants are identified) including your child’s 3D scan for marketing and strategic development purposes. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
Disclosures of your child’s information
Your child’s anonymised information will be disclosed in visual form by the scan and by data in the form of extracted measurements from the scan. Your child will not be identifiable from the scan unless you have specifically requested or authorised your child to be so. The personal details will be kept separately from the anonymous and scan measurement data.
Other web sites
You have a right to access the personal data that is held about you. To obtain a copy of the personal information Select Research Ltd holds about you, please write to us at the following address: Privacy Officer, Select Research Ltd., 42 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 1TS enclosing your postal details and a cheque for £10 payable to Select Research Limited.
We may use technology such as a "cookie" to monitor users of this site such as which areas of the site you use most or least often and how often you use the website. A "cookie" is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. It is not linked to any of your personal information on our site.
