MANCHESTER

Bethany aged 9 enjoyed her scan so much she wrote a poem about her experience-

I enjoyed the scanner really it was fun
A big black thing in the shape of a ring
“Just stand there with your arms in the air”
So there I stood in my underwear
Classical music plays peaceful sound
I think about my warm fluffy dressing gown
Lots of lights flash as bright as the sun
But after a few seconds I was done
Out I got and soon I could see
A picture appeared a 3D image of me

Mum to child aged 15 -

"My daughter really enjoyed the body scan experience and seeing her image on screen. She liked the fluffy dressing gown she was given to wear. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room looked inviting. A nice touch getting some vouchers to spend. She also liked getting a sticker at the end, so she can tell all her friends about it."

Mum to child aged 9 -

"I and my daughter found it quiet amazing at how her body could be scanned, and felt important as regards to helping the nation. She enjoyed the experience. Thanks"
